The Response Program - Prayer and Discernment for Those Considering Diocesan Priesthood

"Put out into deep water and lower your nets for a catch." Luke 5:4

Response Club Activities

The Response Program is a process of ongoing prayer and discernment designed for adult Catholic men (college age and older) who have taken the initiative to express interest in diocesan priesthood.

To provide for the spiritual growth needs of those who are looking at diocesan priesthood as a possible vocation response.

To offer a forum for the mutual support needed for discerning a call to a priestly vocation.

To bring together diocesan priests to assist participants in their discernment and movement toward decision-making.

Prayer for Vocations
Holy Spirit, eternal Spring of joy and peace
it is You who open the hearts and the mind
to the divine call;
it is You who make effective every impetus
towards good, towards truth, towards charity.

Your 'inexpressible groans'
rise up to the Father for the heart of the Church,
which suffers and struggles for the Gospel.

Open the hearts and minds of young men,
so that a new flowering of holy voations
to the priesthood may show forth the
fidelity of Your love,
and all may know Christ,
the true light of the world
to offer to every human being
the sure hope of eternal life. Amen

Pope John Paul II

If not us, Who? If not here, where?
If not now, when? If not for the Kingdom, why?
Dare the dream!
