The club is open to all high school men who wish to take a serious look at their lives and grow personally, emotionally and spiritually. Each member is asked to attend the club's meetings and events in an attempt to discern and understand God's call in their life. Each member must be open to considering Roman Catholic priesthood as an option for their life's vocation. You may attend either a public, private or Catholic high school.
Saint Joseph is the patron saint of our Diocese of Buffalo. As the husband of Mary and earthly father of Jesus, he remains a model for being able to hear, understand and follow God's call in life. All through the Scripture, St. Joseph is "in tune" with God's messages offering direction through the angels. We ask our Patron, St. Joseph, to intercede for us to better understand and follow God's call in our own lives.
The primary purpose of our meetings and events will be to deepen our understanding of prayer, the sacraments, vocation and discernment of priesthood as our vocation in life. Certainly we will look at key issues involving priesthood such as simplicity of life, celibacy, respect and obedience to the Bishop and the role of priest as spiritual Father. We will see that we do not give up being fathers at all, but that we have a greater role in life as "Father."
All meetings are held from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Christ the King Seminary in East Aurora. Click here for directions to the Seminary.
